St Andrew’s Memorial Hall

Why is the building called a ‘Memorial Hall’?
The St Andrew’s Memorial Hall was built in the early 1930s in memory of Jane Wheaton Smith.   The Hall was built to serve and extend the mission of St Andrew’s towards Willerby.  The parish church of St Luke’s Willerby was not built until the late 1960s.

Who uses the Hall?

The Memorial Hall is home to a variety of groups, during the day and into the evenings.  There is a preschool every morning during term time.  Dance classes for children on Saturdays, and for adults during week day evenings.   Other daytime and evening groups meet at regular intervals.  And of the course, the St Andrew’s church family makes good use of the Memorial Hall on a regular basis.

How do I find out what’s going on in the Hall?
